Must Haves:


Bachelors/Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field

• 2+ years of experience (HM will consider newer masters graduates)
• Strong experience with Python/C++ and SQL in a software driven environment
• Strong coding exposure, CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with start-ups / Robotics / mechanical engineering debugging / gaming experience!
• Strong job tenure is required. The HM will not consider candidates with positions 1 year, or less (even if roles are successfully completed contracts)
• Must be comfortable with daily operational work (triage, reporting, etc.)
• Interviews will include a technical coding assessment (Python/SQL)

Job Description:


We're looking for a Test Creation and Quality Expert; someone with the technical ability to analyze the issues reported from vehicle testing, create test suites, manage infrastructure, and analyze changes. Highly passionate and innovative about the Autonomous Vehicle Technology and eager to face challenges and activities. As part of the automotive software testing organization, you'll get along with both software and hardware engineering teams covering multiple disciplines to provide quality product.



What you'll be doing:
As a member of Autonomous Vehicle Test team, you will work on Autonomous Vehicle Software for end-to-end problem analysis for the issues reported from daily test.
Execute analyses process of problem analysis, including issue triage, root cause analysis, issue categorization, issue reporting and summary.
Create test suites, manage test configurations, and manage infrastructure for running tests.
Analyze accuracy of tests and root cause errors that lead to test inaccuracy.
Communicate with Dev team to understand the functional design, keep the technology knowhow up to date.
Develop the documentation and tools for issue analysis.
Collect test data from routine incar test, provide the feedback of software performance after testing/analysis.



What we need to see:
Technical education (EE/Automotive/Computer/Software).
Experience and proficiency in Python.
Self-motivated to learn new thing & embrace fast technology evolution.
Strong communication skills.
Experience in test engineering within a robotics or automotive field.


Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Experience in Software Testing/Development for Autonomous Vehicle/Autonomous Driving System.



Feedback Candidates Who Missed the Mark:

• Pass -Background mostly in hardware/integration testing for OEMs. Not quite the fit we are looking for in terms of analyzing behavioral software changes for testing.
• Pass - candidate has 3 very short (1 year) positions, which is not a good fit.
• Pass- worked on the vehicle testing team, which is not as relevant to the software testing experience we are looking for.
• She had trouble communicating specific details about her past experience and her python coding was not up to our expectations.
• We won't be moving forward. While his previous experience was relevant he didn't meet our expectations in terms of understanding/ clarifying the problem requirements and debugging in the coding exercise.
• Their experience is primarily in testing drones and sensors, with limited exposure to software testing. As a result, the role is not a good fit, and we will not be moving forward.
