NOTE: This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.

Creates, tests, documents, implements, and/or oversees usage of models critical to the success of U.S. Bank's Treasury. The models may estimate balances, income, rates, numbers of accounts and customers, and/or other quantities related to a variety of products or services, however, all models are used as part of the financial decision-making process. Communicates concepts and results - via presentations, model development documents, monitoring reports, source code, and other media - to stakeholders within the Bank. Conducts ad hoc analysis on short timelines to support interpretation of observations and model-generated estimates.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, and three or more years of relevant experience
OR
  • MA/MS in a quantitative field, and less than three years of related experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • At least one year of experience programming in Python
  • Basic understanding of macroeconomic principles
  • Basic understanding of econometrics
  • Basic knowledge of various regression techniques, parametric and non-parametric algorithms, times series techniques, and other statistical techniques, various model validation tests/methodologies, using Statsmodels or other packages in Python, R, MATLAB, or Excel
  • Basic data compilation, programming skills and qualitative analysis skills
  • Basic knowledge of quantitative and qualitative risk factors, industry risks, competition risks, and risk management approaches within the financial services industry
  • Basic knowledge of applicable regulatory rules, guidance, or supervisory letters
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks across various timelines
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, negotiation, and project management skills
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $90,100.00 - $106,000.00 - $116,600.00 Job postings typically remain open for approximately 20 days of the posting date listed above, however the job posting may be closed earlier should it be determined the position is no longer required due to business need.
