Legal Billing Specialist - Atlanta, Georgia

Who:
A detail-oriented legal billing professional with strong experience in time and billing systems such as Aderant or Elite 3E supporting finance operations within a professional services environment.

Responsible for managing the full billing cycle including time entry review, invoice preparation, client billing compliance, and resolving billing discrepancies.

Position Overview:
The Legal Billing Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely client invoicing while supporting attorneys and internal stakeholders with billing-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and process client invoices in accordance with firm and client guidelines

  • Ensure accuracy of time entries, billing rates, and expense allocations

  • Utilize Aderant or Elite 3E to manage billing workflows

  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to resolve billing issues and inquiries

  • Maintain billing records and ensure compliance with client-specific requirements

  • Assist with month-end close and reporting activities

Qualifications:
● 3+ years of legal billing experience in a law firm or professional services environment
● Hands-on experience with Aderant or Elite 3E is required
● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
● Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and billing systems
